I get questions all the time, "What do I do WHEN…?" or "What do I do IF…?" or "What happens, FOR INSTANCE…"

STOP with all the negative thinking! STOP expecting defeat at the hands of equal beings. Use the materials you have all around you and STOP living in fear and doubt - learn to express yourself positively.

If I had ONE PIECE of advice I'd like to package in a box with a pretty bow it would be this:

Practice. Practice makes the imperfect better and it's only through practice you’re going to learn. I "practice" every day!

For those of you who need help in thinking on your feet, here’s a practice exercise: Get online with an instant messaging service and practice your communication skills - you'll be surprised at how innovative (and fast!) you can be and how much fun it can be.

Work at your different Gatekeeper approaches. Try them on for size and note the responses - you'll find one that "fits". Use it and enthuse it!

Until you're really good at this social engineering thing, quit trying to reinvent the wheel.

"When you are not practicing, remember, someone somewhere is practicing, and when you meet him he will win." ~ Ed Macauley
