Position Description:

Work with hiring managers to determine position needs, write position descriptions, prepare advertising, review resumes, verify security clearances, schedule interviews and travel for potential candidates, and track metrics. Interface with hiring managers to ensure that needs are being met. Assist in developing the annual recruiting plan. Maintain applicable databases. Complete a weekly report on employment activity. Track EEOC reporting metrics. Act as liaison with area employment agencies, temp agencies and with advertising agencies. Process and check advertising agency billing. Record status of authorized positions within the corporation, employment verifications, and employee referral program.

Experience Required:
3 - 5 years in a similar role with a defense contractor. Considerable skill in interviewing techniques and screening potential candidates. Knowledge of personnel policy and procedure and federal and state laws regarding employment practices.


Education & Training:
HS diploma; equivalent work experience in lieu of Bachelor's in HR or business administration acceptable.


Special Skills/Knowledge:
Up to 20 - 25% travel. Must have outstanding communication skills. Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational and multi-tasking skills. Good working knowledge of MS Suite, including SharePoint and Access. Experience with non-DoD Federal Agencies (DHS) a plus.
