RecruitingBlogscom

Hi everyone,

I'm Sasanka, I very recently graduated college and now I'm working as a recruiter for a start-up company, my job is to find corp to corp contract positions for our employees.

I stumbled upon recruiting blogs the other day, and boy, do I have a lot to learn, its like my freshman year all over again. I just want to ask the veterans here for any help they could provide, and any kinda help or advice is highly appreciated.

The company I'm working for right now has a few employees so anybody here that gets requirements from time to time, please send me an email or leave a comment, it would be of great help to me.

Hi Sasanka~

First off: welcome to RBC! We are very glad to have you here...

I worked for a Tech Start-Up as the Manager of Recruitment. Their are several pieces of simple advice I can give you:
1. Establish a trusting relationship with your hiring manager.
2. Save every resume you receive, start a database for your department.
3. Follow up and be honest with candidates
4. Be enthusiastic about each opportunity.

Part of your job is establishing that first impression of your company to candidates and new hires. This is "retention" at its very core.

Good luck!

Thanks, I'll definitely keep these in mind when I start work tomorrow on.
