Transitioning clients from the business development person to another recruiter? Need help?

I have to learn how to get new job orders and turn the client over to another recruiter in my office....What is this called transitioning? I am weak here. Anyone know some good source materials for teaching me this?

For example: I approach a client - sell like a champion. Get the account and then need to give that client to one of my recruiters. How do you do this so that the client doesn't feel let down?

introduce the customer to the recruiter as a specialist and set expectations how you operate as a team. Its a common practice in the industry to have an account developer and a team of recruiters who work to support the customers requirements.
