I'm currently tasked with finding Sr. Sales Manager (Consumer Electronics) for my comany in Korea. I have plenty of agency contacts, but I would like to fill this myself.

I was wondering if any of you could share some insight as to where I should post or look.

As always, any help would be much appreciated.

Happy Turkey Day!

Hi Susan.

A Korean National would be nice. I do have an eye on a couple of Managers from partnering companies that could fill the role, but it would too costly for us in the long haul. I want to avoid a "robbing from Peter to pay Paul" scenario. We work with several OEM/IC/ODM manufacturers and everyone know's everyone.

Consultants have worked with us in the past, and it just didnt sit right with our business model. It's more of a band-aid than anything.

Do you know of a good resource pool I can dip into without paying an arm and a leg?

We're pretty big on corporate culture and consultants almost never work out for us. I guess their primary interests are not aligned with us internally, i.e., money, title, world domination, etc.

Thanks for the advice on business journals, associations and local universities. I'll definitley give it a try.

With regards to advertising, you're talking to him. I'm pushing this back on my Country Manager to get the word out.
