Every once in a while you have one of those moments of clarity when you realize just how grateful you are for something in your life. I like to take a deep breath at those times and just savor the moment and let the feeling of thankfulness wash over me. I had one of those moments recently sitting on a bench overlooking the unlimited beauty of the Oregon coast. It seems I have more of these mounts as I get older or maybe it is I now take the time to recognize the bounty of gifts given to me by The Lord. It has been said that” we have been given all that we need to be happy”, and after reflecting on that statement, I embrace the truth in it.
Mind you the truth in that statement can only be found by rejoicing in what we have been given and not worrying about what we don’t have. To live in a life of abundance and gratitude is the only prescription for a happy life I know of. It does not cost a lot, it is simple in Idea and yet hard to embrace.
In the past 10 years my life has change in a manner that I would have not believed possible. I am grateful that someone else could see what I could not or would not and force me to get a reality check. To focus on what is the real priority of my life; to make a difference… to answer the question have “I done any good today”? This has now become my governing value, both personal and business.
In the final analysis, to live a life of abundance and gratitude all comes down to the people we love and who love us that make life worth living and the blessings of eternity worth striving for. We need to take better care of “us” all. We need to be better at service to our fellow human beginnings; you can trust someone is taking notes. If you have missed knowing me, you have missed nothing. If you have missed some of my emails and posts, you might have missed a laugh. But, if you have missed knowing my LORD and SAVIOR, you have missed everything in the world
