These past couple of weeks I've been trialling different ways of resourcing candidates in conjunction with the usual methods. One in particular has caught my eye, Facebook adverts. First time I tried it was with a very niche vacancy, that completely slumped. However this time I tried it with a broader role that would resonate with more people, it's early days but so far the response has been positive.
What has the response been like for other people that have tried it? And what other tried and tested methods do you use in conjunction with your own ATS, job boards etc.?

I have to say that I'm a big believer in the Facebook ads. Pay per click, extremely targeted, and getting in front of folks when they might be more inclined to see what options might be available to them. I'm not just saying that because the Bill Boorman cow/Farmville/resume story either. Keep us posted Aidan, I would be curious to see how it works out with you with this broader role.
What do you all think of candidate sourcing services?
