I am a 23 year old recruiter who started in this business a month ago. Since I started, I have learned how to recruit high level engineers within the defense, energy and infrastructure sectors. I have also been taught how to market out resumes and obtain job requisitions from potential clients. Lets not get ahead of ourselves, I am still very much an amateur and have a tremendous amount of learning to do; however, I do not make 100 mindless calls a day and my social networking skills are rapidly developing.
If there are other recruiters around my age and with a similar level of experience on rbc, I would love to hear your experiences and maybe even discuss different strategies.

Yes Gene ,
Most Recruiters are doing telemarketing work or i would say of delivery boy services not recruitment, the task of sourcing ,following the pipeline networks ,posting, evaluating consultants.Even some of my colleagues do the telemarketing/delivery boy services.AS usual they reply "need to submit resumes" ASAP.
I feel the time to change the process or we are doomed
Cheers
