Hi Sally, there are quite a few resources for this. I am not very tech savvy, so I'll share some sites, etc. that have been helpful for me.

Some of these resources are free, some are not.

http://http://braingainrecruiting.com/training/ : You can see links to Boolean Strings LinkedIn group and the Boolean Strings Ning network here. Irina Shamaeva is super smart, and offers lots of free and paid resources. If I had the money to invest, I would definitely take her sourcing course. But there are also a lot of "stand alone" webinars and training she offers that are not too expensive.

To add to this, we have a beginner prerecorded webinar listed, among other classes, at http://sourcingcertification.com/webinars/ named "Boolean Strings Basics" that comes with one month of support (as any training).

The group and the network are excellent ways to get in touch with others and ask questions.

Simply playing with the Google advanced search dialog https://www.google.com/advanced_search could give you some taste of this. It's not rocket science!

Hi Sally, There are a lot of resources available today. You can download the free Recruiting Blogs Recruiting Bar at http://www.RecruitingBar.com as well. It's a free toolbar that is packed with searches. Simply replace the placeholders with your key terms etc. 

Also you can join our webinar series of sourcing at http://www.RecruitingWebinars.com as well. There are a few great webinars coming up on Boolean Search and the like.
