Career Builder Cancellation Fee - 50% - Any help is appreciated?.
Hi,
I subscribed to Career Builder couple of months back and it seems I have taken a very bad decision. I am not even getting 1% response when compared to Dice.
When i called them to cancel it, they are asking for a huge cancellation fees (50%) of the remaining amount which comes to $5,500 including my two month usage for 2 job posting and resume search.
They are asking me to try Sologig for one more month., I really appreciate if anybody can help how to get rid of the cancellation fees?.
If i take it legally will it work out?.
Please help.

I would like to know how to get rid of the cancellation fees.

Thanks Sandra for your Valuable Suggestion. You are right, I have signed the agreement which says to check the "Terms and Conditions" in a Career builder job board not in the agreement, there it says I can't cancel the agreement during subscription period. I think i am struck now., paying $5,500 for two months usage.

If you are looking for a refund of prepaid they won't do it. If you are looking for a way out of a contract you already signed in which you agreed to pay a set amount you are probably bound by the contract. You might try and see if anyone who uses Career Builder would buy your contract if it's transferable or sell the use of your postings and resume search to another recruiter. I don't think any of the boards guarantee results as part of the contract. You could check with an attorney to have them review the contract to see if there is a way out but normally when you sign one you are committed\
