Thank you Melinda, I had come across Sendouts before however think it is too extensive for my needs currently right now. I am a very small recruiting firm and my needs are more for organization rather than streamlining, does that make sense?

Hi Julie - I might want to check out SmartRecruiters - a Free ATS, unlimited usage/storage. Don't want to be promotional, but upon your description it could meet your need. Fairly new, in beta - without bell and whistle but the technology is completely for free.

Greetings Julie,

Since 2005 my company used a contact management system developed by a company (escapes my mind right now). It easily interfaces with your Outlook and you can download resumes. Once we connected with a passive candidate we would build a candidate profile, upload resume and then push their profile, along with resume, to our ATS once the candidate became an applicant. However, I became frustrated with push factor. Other colleagues experienced same issues and other issues. Our company recently (within the last couple of months) adopted another CMS that promises to have worked out of the bugs we experienced with the other vendor. A pilot program was just completed and I expect to have access by end of year. If you like I can provide you with names of both vendors so you can do your own exploration? Previous to that I used Excel.
