So I've been knocking this one around for a few years.... I had the opportunity but Hurricane Wilma three years back sort of kyboshed it for me with the company I worked for that was willing to provide the course and pay for the process.
I am seriously considering getting my PHR. On my own. Means I have to join SHRM... Pay for the course and the exam. It isn't so much the cost but the time investment to do this. I would like to get back into corporate recruiting again and all the organizations are asking for this now.
I have not been in corporate recruiting in a while and I feel my HR skills are REALLY rusty.
My background has mostly been agency recruiting although I do have my JD and have done some employment law related functions. I am an inactive member of the state bar now.
Suggestions... ? Courses to take are the online self directed or a ten Saturdays in a row.
