Does anyone recruit for Japan here?
I searched for Japan but got '0' results, I need an Executive for a Tokyo Based company who needs to either be Japanese or fluent in Japanese and understand the culture.

Hi Graham,

Are you still conducting this search?

Thanks,
Howard
It's surprising to see so few Japan based recruiters here, but I'm happy to say I'm one of them. My company has clients in several industries, so there's a good chance we already know someone in the domain you're looking for.

Finding a bilgual Japanese candidate is one thing, but finding someone who can integrate well with a foreign company is something that is often overlooked. So many executives in Japan quit within their first year because they don't want to deal with 'interference' from the head office.

Recruiting for a Western company in a non-Western market definately requires a local touch.
I don't know if he still does recruitment in Japan but Mr. Takao Otuka knows the Japanese market for finance and is bilingual. He was working that market in 2008. He currently owns a medical staffing & recruitment firm in California. You can reach him at DEC HealthCare Personnel www.decpersonnel.com
Thankyou for your responses, I will follow up and see what progress has been made to date.
I will get back to each of you if I need further information.
Thankyou once more for your response.
Graham
