RecruitingBlogscom

Recently I have seen a surge in recruiters, HR and sales people with the following message on their LinkedIn profile "_____ is not currently open to receiving Introductions or InMail™."  WHY?  I am trying to understand the reasoning behind not receiving introductions and InMail?

Our livelihood is contingent upon people; meeting them, networking and hopefully placing many of them.

Would love to hear thoughts on why people within our industry decide not to receive introductions and InMail on one of the more popular networking sites (minus Recruitingblogs.com of course)?

This is more curiosity on my part than judgment....

Thanks!
