Have you tried HootSuite?  I use this to track everything in one place and I've never had it crash.

I never used Seesmic, but have heard good things.

Like Michelle I use Hootsuite as well. I am not sure if it has an IM option, but it will allow you to manage all your other social networking.

 

I also use Tweetdeck - I use this as a tool to manage my live twitter stream(s). I find it a bit easier to digest when trying to stay on top of multiple streams.

 

Not to get too confusing here, but I also use Bullhorn Reach as well to push content from the web. It allows you to add a simple button to your browser tool bar and as you come across any articles of interest w. one simple click you can send out to your social networks.

 

I have had Tweetdeck crash twice on me over the years, but no issues with the others. I am still not sure about the IM thing (I don't utilize much), but that is not to say that there is not an option for that.
