On the subject of job leads for a price - an offer from me
I've been thinking about the posts started by Rick Probstein. One post was wondering whether it is unethical or not to charge candidates for j....
His site is very nice and the concept is certainly not only being considered by them alone. We're all trying to stay ahead here. But if these job leads are legit - why limit it to job hunters?
I am very interested in these leads for myself. So I'm wondering - where do they come from? tobjobleads.com is being started by Rick's agency - if I recall that accurately - and I'm wondering - has the agency side of his firm already called these "leads" and for whatever reason decided to not pursue them?
So to my point - if these are "recently gathered somewhat qualified" leads - I would like a proposal on the cost for a group of 500 or 1000 of them. Preferably in I.T. or Engineering.
If one job lead is good - a thousand would be fantastic.

Although I replied to mentioned post saying it's not only considered unethical but also illegal to charge people for job leads (over here that is), you post made me realize that there might be a legitimate concept in selling job openings in general (to interested agencies / recruiters having a hard time etc.). I for one would be interested, since I invest a lot (LOT) of time and energy in digging up suitable job openings for my candidates in base, trying to figure out the company behind those openings (posted through other agencies), then digging up name and number of the specific contact etc. etc. etc. If I could skip those first steps and immediately go down a whole list including names and numbers....hm.
But I'm still not fond (to say the least) of charging individual, unemployed job seekers.
