1. Focus on building stronger relationships with candidates, which is the foundation for success and is also being proactive and not reactive.
2. Analyze what skills clients hire for and prepare to be met with similar needs.

Focus On Health, And Time Management.
Use Twitter a LOT more. I think it will become a preferred method to recruit.
Analyse the skills required by the client and start hunting by using either of the following approach:
Twiter has become a very important part of the recruitment industry. So, focus on twitter how to search for the required candidates for the right skills.
Second, the database which you have been maintaining, we can search for the result.
Third, Local/International job portals as per the requirement.
Spend LESS time with Technology. Last year, I spent more of my time moving my database around (and updating old candidates manually) and talking to vendors, account reps and customer service (many of whom did not understand the product they sold), than talking to clients and candidates!!! I now have my data spread across 3 ATM's (two of which have merged!), and I couldn't even send a holiday message out to either my candidates or clients since none of them had that capability!!!
So, I have now cancelled all of my ATM contracts, and I am going to a simpler approach...

As I've reflected on this - and decided to skip my usual "Not gonna change a thing!" type of reply - I clearly AM going to change something. I am no longer interested in trying to be all things to all clients. We are going to focus on our core strenghts and let anything that falls outside those strengths pass us by.
In some specific areas - we are simply the best. In other areas - we're just one of a large crowd of hopeful contenders.
