RecruitingBlogscom

We are looking to implement a recruitment application focused on applicant tracking, reporting, and search.  Currently, we are using Daylite, but wanted to get opinions on other more robust products in the marketplace.  We have 8 people currently and all utilize MacBooks.  One of the biggest issues I see that we will have is gathering the current information and populating the system

Thanks and I look forward to hearing your thoughts!

Aaron - I, too, use Mac OSX with Entourage as my mail. I am currently seeking a compatible ATS that interfaces with Entourage. Have you found an ATS that includes features for candidate, client and Job orders?

thanks! Jeff
Hi Jeff,

I looked at several systems and narrowed my search to Jobvite.com and PC Recruiter. Both with interface with Entourage or Apple Mail. Hope this helps.
Aaron, sorry for the late reply, I am just now seeing this. Realizing that it's been over a month since you posted, I'd be happy to share my experience in running a Mac-based search practice. I have done quite a bit of research on this and am very happy with my technology setup, which is 100% Windows-free. Feel free to message me and we can set up a chat. Jeff, I'd be happy to speak with you as well, or maybe we can do a 3-way call which I can host.
Jeff, specifically to your question, I have been using CATS (www.catsone.com) for some time now and have been very happy with it. It is a full-featured ATS that is browser-based (multiplatform though I use it exclusively on my iMac, Macbook, and iPad). I access it via Google's Chrome browser, but I sometimes jump into Firefox when I'm adding candidates from their LinkedIn profiles, via a FF plug-in that does this.

It has some basic integration with Apple Mail, in that you can email a resume to a role address that will import it for you automatically. Other than that, I just maintain a folder structure on Mail to keep things organized. I have chosen to look at this as a positive (redundancy) rather than a drawback. CATS offers full workflow management features for clients, candidates, job orders, contacts (differentiates between client and candidate contact records), and also does email merges that can be customized. It's less than most of the other leading ATS solutions at $39/month for the "pro" version. They will also help you do data migration/import if you're switching from another solution. Worth checking out, IMO.
Hi Aaron, we have plenty of happy Mac users among our 3000 customers/25000 users. Glad to discuss our cost-effective/high ROI solution with you.
