Permalink Reply by Thomas Patrick Chuna on July 27, 2011 at 7:10pm I like what Amber said..whether one pays five bucks, or one pays a thousand for a resume, if it doesn't convey "you", it's a waste of money..if the writer isn't asking the questions, it's a waste of money.
on a side note...I have been privy to resume "critiques" from career wesbsites like jobfox..you send a resume, and your free critique is nothing but boilerplate that could apply to everyone's resume..of course they can fix it, but it'll cost huge dollars, and they still don't ask any important questions that would make the resume pertinent.
the cost isn't as important as is the ability of the jobseeker and resume writer to understand each other.
