Recently I have been receiving a number of resumes from candidates with just a first name and an email address or no name at all. I know some recruiting companies do this to stir interest, but why would candidates not include a name when they are applying to a position posting? Any thoughts?

I believe candidates are beginning to understand (better) the recruiting process and the fact that they themselves are a "comnmodity" that requires protection.
Most of the time if it is not a subvendor then it has been more than likely a candidate making sure no one in their company finds out the resume is theirs.
I bet most are not legit. why would any respectable recruiter call back an unsolicited candidate based on a resume with no contact info.
