Today is 11-11-11.  Someone mentioned on Facebook that this would be the last "binary" date of the century.  Interesting.

It is also a day to remember Veteran's - those who have served and sacrificed in the military. My dad was in the reserves.  Thanks dad. My Grandpa was in the army during World War II and was away from his family for almost nine years - I cannot even fathom that.  

This is my Grandpa Hamlin - I am so proud to be his granddaughter...

One of my uncles also served in the army and the other was a Green Beret and when I was younger, I remember him disappearing, often - we didn't know where he had been sent or what he was doing, or when he would return.  He was serving his country, and thankfully - he always came home.  

Today, I thank all who sacrificed for the freedoms of man. Including the families of those who serve / served in the military.
