Curious as to what stucks you might have encountered that can be fixed with something this simple?
I just spoke with a recruiter looking for lean candidates among other things....they kept getting hobbyists in the martial arts arena when searching for specific belts etc.
Simple fix: Add -Karate behind the search...
The search was:
(lean OR "six sigma" OR "continuous improvement" OR TQM OR CSI OR "process improvement" OR "black belt" OR "green belt" OR "yellow belt")
New Search
(lean OR "six sigma" OR "continuous improvement" OR TQM OR CSI OR "process improvement" OR "black belt" OR "green belt" OR "yellow belt") -karate

Permalink Reply by Amber on July 30, 2012 at 10:52am Hi Ryan - my experience with "sourcing" on the internet is very limited, mainly due to lack of my ability/knowledge. The old fashioned methods, mainly talking to whatever people I can, are usually where I go. However, the things that I have been able to do using search strings sometimes are quite great. But that happens mainly by luck, and by reading information in the Boolean Strings Network site and LI group and others. I sometimes think about getting more training, but the factors like money, time, etc. hold me back. Plus, something about it gives me the feelings that math classes always did - not good!
more sourcing tips please ; )
