We are all born to become something.  We don’t know it, and despite our parents best efforts we find a way to shape our lives that lead us to one fate or another.  Recruiting is not a career as much as it is a calling, like a teacher, nun, or sports star.  Recruiting is about helping people find vision and enact it.  It might be the vision of the client looking for the perfect fitting employee that will change the dynamics of the organization.  It might be the vision the candidate has for his or her family, their future and their passions.  The vision may be that of the community as the firm rolls up their sleeves to build lasting relationships and make a difference while building lasting relationships that may or may not result in a business opportunity. 

I look at the blogs on why people love recruiting and it is all about people.  People - not paychecks, not clients, not candidates but people and their dreams.  Recruiters try to make dreams happen, to enact vision.  If there was to be considered a single word to describe a leader it would be ‘recruiter.’  This is why I don’t just love recruiting, I live it, I breath it, I am passionate about it and it is part of who I am. When I look in the mirror I stand proud as a part of a recruiting team because at the end of every day I made a difference in someone’s life.  What more could one be passionate about than that?

I am not the money in my wallet, the name on my jeans, the car I drive or the degrees on my wall.  I am the guys who makes a difference in lives, learns and becomes more every day because of the people I touch.  I don’t just love recruiting, recruiting loves me.
