I use my natural and professional networks for introductions whenever possible, but what is the best way to approach a new company in and effort to gain their business?

Corporate Recruiters- how do you like to be approached by a potential new firm attempting to gain your business?

Agency Recruiters- what approaches do you find most effective in this situation?

I understand that not all Corporate Recruiters operate the same way and probably like to be approached in different ways, but I would still love to hear everyone’s opinion on this subject. I also understand that Agency Recruiters might use multiple avenues to develop new business.

Hi Gregory,

I have had the most success with picking up the phone and actually talking to the recruiter, which I then follow up with an email letter. I have tried direct mail with no success and a blanket email hasn't worked. It's getting the opportunity to talk one on one that has worked for me. Now, when I was a corporate recruiter, recruiters that submitted qualified candidates always impressed me and ones that called, but didn't nag! We all know that's a fine line. That's my 2 cents....
