So, instead of me writing a blog- I thought it would be great if the RBC Community wrote a blog. Make a comment by sending in your best one liner. Let's get as many as we can and then we can have Tim & Noel publish it. Be creative. I'll start it-
1) You know you are a recruiter when you find yourself eating lunch at your desk regularly so you can catch the candidate when they are available.

You feel much better when you find out the same thing happened to 3 of your RBC colleagues just this week. :)
AMEN Amy! Our own personal couch...just via internet :)

I had to add another one - you know you are a recruiter when a candidate tells you they are available "anytime" for a phone interview - when you suggest a time - you get - "oh, I am not available at that time"

You know you are a recruiter when a candidate literally begs you to help them for an opportunity, thinking you can probably get them hired even though they are not a rockstar, you get that feel good feeling about helping someone out.... Then you find a job for them a week later and leave 6 messages, emails and texts and then finally 4 days later they call you back. Mind you they are currently unemployed and they tell you they have been busy. You explain that the job is not a good fit, put their info into your archive database and think to yourself....there is a reason that person is unemployed and vow not to waste your time on lost causes going forward....until the next morning when you come across what you think may be a diamond in the rough and the process starts all over again. Is that just me this happens to?
Haha, NOPE! Andrew, you are not alone...and it just means you have a big heart that doesn't pre-judge :-)
