I've found 123people.com useful, but there are a few other tools that i prefer to use. Wink.com allows you to search numerous networking sites at one time. Yahoo! also has the unique ability to limit your search to personal web pages by adding feature:homepage to the search string. It is designed to search for URLs with a tilda(~) in them that set up like personal web pages, similar to when universities allow students to create their own web pages on the schools server. http://pipl.com/ is one that I find effective, but I never take a one tool solves all approach. You could ask 10 people this question and get 10 different responses that are all correct.

I use the .de version of 123people regularly and find it useful. However I normaly use a second and third people search engine in order to get more results, www.yasni.com and www.myonid.com that is.

Jan what't the .de version. Thanks for sharing the other two
