i am working on SQL DBA Position.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Job Title: SQL DBA
Description: Location: Pittsburgh, PA

Contract will be contract to hire, probably after 6 months and based on performance


Responsibilities:

· Provide DBA services for multiple projects

· Define, design and implement data processing streams and database architectures

· Assure efficient data flow, beginning with numerous raw data sources and ending with a data

· Design, code and maintain complex functions of database systems including stored procedures, transformation services, triggers and OLAP services (optional)

· Responsible for creating and maintaining all relevant documentation

· Primary contact for the development of logical and physical database designs

· Assists in all database functions including access, allocations, validity checks, security

· Conducts backup, recovery and query tuning



Requirements:

· BS or BA in Computer Science/Information Technology, or equivalent experience

· Minimum of 5 years IT development background

· Minimum of 3 years experience with design, implementation, tuning and administration of large MS SQL Server database systems including stored procedure coding, ORACLE experience a plus

· Experience with building large OLAP cubes within MS SQL Server Analysis Services desired

· Knowledge of SQL, TSQL, and Object-Oriented development

· Windows experience; Multi-Platform experience including UNIX desirable

· Good design, development, administration, transformation and OLAP skills are desired

· Knowledge of the extract, transform, load, star schema and end user access tools

· Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication and interpersonal skills

· Ability to work independently on multiple tasks

· Experience with hosting and remote services for ERP and/or eCommerce, desired

· Leadership or project management skills, desired

· Sarbanes-Oxley, incident management, or change management experience, desired
