Position:  SQL Server Developer / Report Writer, (Jr. to Mid level) Chicago, IL. 60606

Summary: Our client is the market leader in interactive healthcare communications supporting better healthcare delivery. They are expanding their solution portfolio in many directions - search, mobile, rich Internet experience, etc.  As a key member, you will be working day-to-day database activities and reporting requirements in an Agile, 100% SaaS environment that releases code frequently. Creating and maintaining reports using Reporting Services.  Assisting DBA in maintaining the database systems in multiple environments including installation, configuration, backup, recovery and real-time maintenance. Working with both internal and external customers to understand ad-hoc requests and making recommendations for data analysis. 

Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education and experience.  2 to 6 yrs within the IT industry preferred.

• 2+ year’s hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server.   
• Creating and maintaining reports using Reporting Services (SSRS)
• Ability and desire to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Knowledge of data modeling and tools (relational design, normalization, entity relationship modeling) for web-enabled OLTP
• Knowledge of OLAP systems and dimensional design concepts (Data Warehouse/BI/Analysis Services)
• Experience with SSIS
• Healthcare & HIPAA experience a plus
• Knowledge of Linux a plus

Location: Chicago, IL.   JOB TYPE: Permanent
