Which ones are you aware of?

I'm familiar with two:

The ERE Foundation Educate a Child, Feed a Career
has been raising money at ERE events from recruiters and staffing industry vendors (more than 40k so far) to focus on helping imporve the learning environment for children around the world. The foundation has supported the building of a classroom in a refugee camp in Africa and drilling for water in an Indian village so the children do not have to spend half a day hauling water before school.

The foundation is the brainchild of David Manaster who deserves much credit for getting it off the ground. Some of the funding comes from an auction at the Fall ERE run by Dick Gast (more on that another time) and Recruitingblogs founder, Jason Davis, came up with a charity poker tournament which recently raised $13K.

Another great new charity supported in our industry is
The Jobing Foundation

supported by Jobing's founder, Aaron Matos, who has a passion for career management initiatives that truly can make a difference. Check out the "Pursue the Passion Tour" to see just one of the innovative ideas they are pursuing.
