As of writing I am sitting at a new conference called Making China Your Gold Mountain, which is being held here in San Francisco.

The model is to take on-the-ground HR practitioners in China and fly them to the US for a conference. Then ask American HR practitioners with an interest in China to attend the conference in San Francisco.

The number of people travelling is much reduced and the overal cost to everyone is less.

Is this a new model worth emulating? (So far it's working very well. Todd Raphael has more)
