The blessing and curse of finding the ideal "passive" candidate is that they can suddenly get cold feet at decision time. So it sounds like the wooing effort is on, and why we recruiters get the big bucks, to get them to release the grip they have on the tree they're hugging; or the anchor that has them so tied-down.
I particularly like this picture as metaphor of the owl with the ability to twist its head 270 degrees (humans 180 degrees - http://blogs.discovery.com/animal_oddities/2011/08/owl-heads-are-re...) to get a view and make a decision about responding to a predator or lunch.
In the face of a better job offer on the table -- undecided "passive candidates", especially the "loyal ones" seem to sacrifice common sense for a loyalty that may not be mutual and can burn them in the future.
PS--OT - The "exposure" of Dexter being Dexter to his sister...could be the swan song of a great series.
