After a successful Fortune 500 career where I ended up as the VP of Sales for Mens Stores at Gucci/Lanvin I became an entrepreneur and launched a chain of computer stores, a software company, a top 100 web site and helped take a software company public however my passion was becoming an executive recruiter.
I write about recruitment, Social Branding, including both networking, media and how recruitment and staffing firms can effectively use it.
I''m an advocate for Pulmonary Fibrosis - the ninja killer (few know about it) that strikes over 48,000 Americans annually with a death rate of 40,000 per year, same as Breast cancer. Although Social Branding is my focus I closely follow developments in Technology, Video, Robotics as well as the bleeding edge.
I went from sales and marketing management with fortune 500 companies such as Revlon, Max Factor and Helene Curtis, to the computer and software industries where I launched a chain of computer stores and participated in taking a software company public. I joined Management Recruiters International (MRI) in 1986 and was their National Rookie of the year in 1987. As an executive recruiter I created a software company focused on software for recruiting and staffing firms, and founded Recruiters OnLine Network (RON), a top 100 web site. I sold my software business in 2002 and web businesses in 2010.
I have been a founder and board member of the Pinnacle Society recognizing achievement in the staffing industry, a national speaker for NAPS, served on the Board of Directors of The Texas Association Staffing Services (TAPS), was an officer with the Metroplex Association of Personnel Services (MAAPS) as well as a founder of the local Dallas Independent Recruiters Group (IRG) and a lifetime member of the USMC Force Recon Association (FRA).
