Life truly is an adventure and Jack London said it best “I would rather be ashes than dust! I would rather that my spark should burn out in a brilliant blaze than it should be stifled by dry rot. I’m an executive recruiter who works with leading technology companies world wide to find and recruit top sales and marketing talent.

After spending 20+ successful years as an executive recruiter it became obvious to me the way people move their career (or life) forward has, well, changed.

Now, change can be a good thing…but when you’re caught in the middle of it, change can also be a frustrating, maddening period of not only adjustment, but also of new ideas and new opportunities.

My passion is to help boomers in their careers and life and my web sites focus on fitness, careers and technology. My business is executive search and it is located at Vick & Associates.

And me? I am or have been a Fortune 500 sales and marketing executive, coach, HeadHunter, serial entrepreneur, author, vlogger, publisher, big biller, speaker, recruiting trainer, coach, mentor as well as a recruitment & software developer and technology industry consultant. I believe that everybody has the ability to achieve success in life and my goal is to help others succeed.

My Background

So far, I’ve published two books focused on recruiting excellence. The first, Happy About LinkedIn For Recruiting, is about Recruiters using the LinkedIn network and Big Biller, an audio book about million dollar billing recruiters.

I went from sales and marketing management with fortune 500 companies such as Revlon, Max Factor and Helene Curtis, to the computer and software industries where I launched a chain of computer stores and participated in taking a software company public. I joined Management Recruiters International (MRI) in 1986 and was their National Rookie of the year in 1987. For the last 20 years I have run my own retained executive search business and along the way created a software company focused on software for recruiting and staffing firms, and founded Recruiters OnLine Network (RON), a top 100 web site as well as EmploymentDigest.net. I sold my software business in 2002 and web businesses in 2010.

I have been a founder and board member of the Pinnacle Society recognizing achievement in the staffing industry, a national speaker for NAPS, served on the Board of Directors of The Texas Association Staffing Services (TAPS), was an officer with the Metroplex Association of Personnel Services (MAAPS) as well as a founder of the local Dallas Independent Recruiters Group (IRG) and a lifetime member of the USMC Force Recon Association (FRA) and a middle of the pack Triathlete.
