"You make a lot of sense, Kim. Thanks.
By the way, speaking of fixing "all the problems with the plan," everything is dynamic, not static, so when you think you've reached "the end," you really haven't. Have…"
"I agree, Mark. I must have been in "Twitter" mode, thinking I was limited to 140 characters, so I left that part out. Seriously, to expand on your point, I believe that there must be a clear, well defined set of objectives, and…"
"Rebecca, this was a great post, and I really enjoyed reading it. I do have two comments to express, but I don't want these misinterpreted as criticisms of your article, which was very creative in itself.

How do you introduce yourself to people you meet in business?
I say "Hello."
If they acknowledge me, I usually ask them what they're seeking, and how I might help them in their endeavors.
Then, our conversation might include some or all of the following:
I was the Staffing Manager at the American Medical Association in Chicago until my position (and 100+ others) was eliminated last summer, and that the American Medical Association offers competitive salaries, excellent benefits, progressive technology, exciting and convenient downtown Chicago location, and the greatest co-workers. If they're interested, either for themselves or to help others they know, I then will refer them to the AMA's Website (www.ama-assn.org), and recommend they check out the excellent career opportunities often found at the AMA. I'll also make sure they know I'm in transition and that my e-mail address: firstname.lastname@example.org. I might also let them know the following:
Networking, working, blading, working out, Rock Band Performances (Full Circle), career/interview counseling, and helping others with their professional and career aspirations.
Building full scale suspension bridges, denying the existance of sarcasm, live music performance, music, movies, hearing live music of other bands, networking, helping others, blading, bike riding, working out, attending physics and astronomy lectures, and secretly saving the world as a superhero.
Favorite TV Show:
The Princess Bride
Henry's Awful Mistake
"You can't turn up the oven twice as high and expect the cake in half the time."
"Ignotum per ignotus."
(If you don't know Latin, "Ignotum per ignotus" means "When I get done explaining this to you, you'll know less than when you started.")
I'm very active in the networking community, with the emphasis being on helping others develop and obtain connections and assistance in support of their career and professional asipirations. Also, I'm working hard to develop a sense of humor, which I hope to achieve one day soon.

Harvey - welcome! Glad I ran across your profile. My sister in law is the Director of Socio-Economic Policies for the AMA, so I'm very familiar with your organization. I'm going to be in Chicago next week and wanted to see if you had some time to get together? I oversee our Healthcare division (work with JCAHO, numerous hospital systems) and think it would be beneficial to bothc of us for a brief, introductory meeting. Let me know what your schedule is like and we can coordinate. Feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or reply through here. Take care!
