I think Karen had every right to take down her post, because it was her post. I'm sure she is glad she has the 'freedom' to do so. I think it was very unprofessional to start your own post elaborating on this. She deleted other people's contributi...

Top 10 Reasons I'm Not At Recruitfest

1. I hate meetings--even the cool ones that pretend they are not meetings.
2. There's something with Maren and red shoes. Don't have any--had to give them up. I'm from Kansas.
Ruby slippers, clicking heels--you get the drift.

Job Board are Fine But Recruiters Are Better

Here is a nice article by Karen Sloan of the National Law Journal, advising attorneys on how to approach a job search.

She says job boards are great for getting information about openings and the market. But networking and working with a recruiter is what gets you in the door.

Hi Heather

Re your posting on Sacred Cows.

It doesn't matter if the posting that launches the conversation is ridiculous or if the conversation underneath it keeps some bozo front and centre for longer than he deserves. The fun (and value) are in the discussion.

Some creativity exercises recommend the discussion of ridiculous things just to spark ideas. Same thing here.
