There is still time to find a great summer job!

Posted on May 12, 2010 at 5:06pm 0 Comments

I am amazed at how many jobs continue to pop up on CoolWorks.com for this summer. Granted there are a few winter employers getting a jump on things, but most of these summer jobs start immediately or within the next month or so. And, there are even… Continue

Respond to Your Applicants

That is all.

Okay, a little more. ; )

In the seasonal world, the turn of the calendar from December to January acts as the green light of a NASCAR race. Everyone truly interested in working summer jobs in great places gets on-line and starts applying. As employers, it's both a wonderful time and a stressful time as your in-box just tripled in size. I say embrace it and work the applications to the best of your…

"We Become What We Think About"

"The more intensely we feel about an idea or a goal, the more assuredly the idea, buried deep in our subconscious, will direct us along the path to its fulfillment." - Earl Nightingale

The article explains her style of goal…

Thoughts on the Recession and Jobs

Posted on November 12, 2008 at 5:00pm 0 Comments

I keep reading and hearing about the doom and gloom of this economy, and that jobs are being lost faster than they are being created, (and the world is falling apart, well....). At Cool Works, we are paying close attention to the world around us and have our own concerns, but I thought I would add some bright spots of working in the seasonal world for those willing to think outside the box. And yes, I am considered to be a glass half-full sort of person.

1. Employers are still… Continue

I am not a member, but have decided to join. I think networking in our community is always beneficial. I am pretty new to recruiting so the opportunity to learn from others is always welcome.

Hope you have a great time at Kennedy.

If you decide to try a NWRA event. Let me know and I will meet up with you there.

Hi Kari,

Nice meeting you on Recruiting Blogs. The site is a great place to network and share ideas, etc.

Many of the recruiters on this blog utilize my free job board called Value Recruiting Network. Check it out at www.valuerecruitingnetwork.com

If you're interested in posting job orders on the site, resumes will be emailed directly to you from any job seekers that reply to your posting.

I'd be happy to set you up with a free membership so you can post an unlimited number of jobs.

Enjoy the blog!
