Thanks for the comment. I think that video resumes can be a bit of a double edged sword. On one hand they do a great job of showcasing a candidate's personality, communication skills, and ability to verbalize their technical knowledge. On the other hand, it can open the door for various forms of discrimination. It is true that the same could happen in a personal interview, though, so this may not be the most important issue.
Overall I think there is potential for these to be successful so long as the person is not boring and the hiring authority has the time to watch a video rather than peruse a resume.
