I just started using this blog stuff ;) So I am excited to start reading.learning and participating! So I can't really recommend anything at this time.

I currently belong to PIHRA & SHRM so I get alot of information from those sources for my HR background.
What recruiting tools can you not live without?
I use the old fashion phone, networking and referrals. We have a huge database so I am actively using, updating and calling candidates from there as well.
What do you like best about RecruitingBlogs.com...
I just started, so it will be interesting to manage and/or throw more into my day. It's a positive, don't get me wrong! I am exciting to read or listen to everyone's advice and their experiences. I THANK everyone in advance!!!!

I am fairly new to all this as I have less than 3 years of experience at the moment.. however updating sourcing info and learning about recruiting via using web 2.0 tools are a priority for me at the moment. Nothing wrong w/old school, I know it works -- but I'm glad to see you're someone who's not satisfied and trying to broaden your skills. You can learn a lot from courses like mine (see www.recruiting-online.com) and feel free to compare with others that have buzz like risetrends.com, cyberrecruitingsecrets.com, jobmachine.net, recruiteracademy.com, etc. At this point, I don't think the recruiting certifications mean much at this point, except to the extent that if you're applying for a job and it's on your resume and if the hiring manager has heard of it, might push someone over the fence who's already leaning towards you.

Oh wow, on the sourcing information. I did the webinar yesterday and alot of information. I am not a huge sourcer so that was a lot for me. However I did go on his websites yesterday and will check out more of his information. Let me know how things go, I would be curious, need to learn more techniques!

Great to connect with you via this site! I think it's really important to keep a network going among all of us... to share information.. definitely.. You definitely have lot more experience ...and would love to share some info with you near future. I am currently getting training from Glenn's ROI certificate program.. so let me know if you have any questions or want to share info. I just started this week.. and he has lots of updated sourcing info. I have heard about him via my old boss at Harvard while sourcing for them.
