There is a rumor in the M&A world that Rupert Murdoch sent a letter
to Monster.com's board offering $4.8 billion for the company. Could
Monster be marrying MySpace? Yahoo could be the other suitor.

Monster Buys Affinity Labs - a cool $61 million

Monster.com just bought Affinity Labs for $61 million. The sites are only a few months old but attract 800,000+ page views a month already.

Techcrunch offers a somewhat critical review of the deal.
