How do you introduce yourself to people you meet in business?
Nothing takes the place of experience and innovation. I care about people. I try to convey ideas across all medias that let people know that I care about them succeeding in the future.

My Bio:

I began my sales career in 1990 with a Fortune 1000 chemical services and distribution company as a Junior Sales Representative where I rose to the top and maintained the # 1 regional sales performance spot for many consecutive months, resulting in a strong income and promotion.

In 1993 I was recruited to a large distribution firm where I was the # 1 Sales Representative in Chicago resulting in tremendous success and income at the age of 22.

Soon after, I was approached by an Executive Recruiting client and seeing a strong upside, although mainly commissioned, I entered the Sales Search field in 1996 and won every award available in my rookie year with the exception of one. My best buddy got that one!

In 1996 I joined a "budding" technology consulting firm as the only Technical Recruiter on staff. beginning only with a box of resumes and a telephone, I built an entire recruitment department from scratch.
This was something that I had never accomplished, but partnering with sales and delivery, explosive growth ensued until 2002 when the company was acquired by a larger firm, this resulted in the partners ability to live the lifestyle they wanted and deserved.

Then.. I got the itch to strike out on my own. In 2002, with my own money, I incorporated Affiliated Search Associates. In the first 3 months I took the company into the black, while remaining debt free.

Today, Affiliated Search Associates, Inc. has grown tremendously with an average of 20 % growth year over year, maintaining over 100 continuous client relationships and a huge portfolio of sales and technical search wins throughout the technologies.

2009 is here! Do companies need to wake up?

I cant believe 2008 is gone. What a great year for Recruiting for some, for others, not so much. I have seen so much great talent this year and even more companies that ignore the fact that they have stiff competition for talent. I see them assuming that the "same old same old" will hook them and land them too.

Always a sucker for a survey, I would ask ..What are your thoughts on this ? Do companies today have huge blind spots or is it just me? If not, In what ways do companies need… Continue
