How do you introduce yourself to people you meet in business?: My name is Rahul Prabhakar, a full-time senior technical writer (assistant manager grade) for Samsung Electronics Company Limited, South Korea. I've been a programmer writer for seven years now. What I most enjoy about my job is it offers me a chance to learn about new products, technologies, and domains. I usually work from 8 to 5, five days a week.

I also enjoy writing on a variety of subjects focusing mainly on lifestyle, entertainment, management, and human interest stories. My articles have appeared in various publications, including Dataquest, The Smart Techie, India Economy Review, btw (by the way) – "Live Smart!", INTERCOM, Capital Letter, STC UK Chapter newsletter, Directives, Associated Content, About.com, PCS (IEEE Professional Communication Society Newsletter), CIDM Information Management News, Express Computer, Khaleej Times, and so on.

I have a typical pioneer mindset. I think ahead of my times, keeping track of things and staying on top of them. I believe in working for the best companies in the world. I've worked for two so far -- Oracle and Samsung.

I was interviewed by Tech Writer Voices for a podcast on technical communication, and later, by a correspondent for Indo Asian News Service for an article on "Technical writing - the new black gold of India."
