How To Cook A Purple Squirrel

If you have been a Recruiter for any length of time, you have probably been presented with a “Purple Squirrel” by a Hiring Manager.  Proper etiquette deems that we do our best to meet our client’s every need. To be a gracious Recruiter, you will need to have a good recipe to cook up these tough little critters.  Following is the recipe that I use to cook them: “Hurled of Squirrel “Make sure you have:1 x Purple Squirrel. (To ensure your squirrel is ripe, make sure the job description is so…See More

...and what would you change and why?
We are making the changes we want to see in the Recruitment Industry!!!!

We are changing the Recruitment Industry "guarantees" from being based on number of days to being based on a candidate’s production.

Why???

We as Recruitment Professionals need to understand that when we place a candidate with a client we are immediately impacting our client’s business minimum of 10%. Depending on the fit will depend on whether the impact is negative or positive. When the guarantee is base on "production" we as an industry will ensure that we are taking MUCH better care of our CLIENTS and CANDIDATES!

P.S. – You will also NOT work with BAD clients or candidates.

Recruiters Get Up & Move !!!

Posted on February 8, 2013 at 8:54am 0 Comments

As Recruiters, I am sure we all could be contenders for the Guinness book for being professional Sitters.  Especially, when faced with a difficult search.  If you are anything like me, when the search is intense I not only give up moving but, I also find myself curling up around our computers and phones.

To help you and I combat the sitting around blues I have taken Russell Thurston blog Stand Up, Walk Around, Even Just…

Recruiters Are Finding Success by Climbing TheLadders

Hi, my name is Kevin and I am the operations manager for a healthcare recruiting firm in Los Angeles, CA. I’m reaching out to you because you indicated on your profile that you were in healthcare staffing and possibly open to doing some splits. We have a lot of open job orders and offer a 50/50 fee split. Would you be open to discussing ways we could collaborate from time to time?
