Roman Polanski, no sympathy for the devil
Glad to see things picking up out there...
Even though this post is not inline with Human Resources it is inline with being HUMAN.
Recently Roman Polanski was arrested in Switzerland regarding an extradition warrant filed by the USA approx. 30 yrs ago.
I am sure most know the story; Roman meets a 13 yr old girl promises her stardom then has a few photo-shoots, then alcohol and drugs come into the fold as does raping a minor...

Dating Scammers now using ere.net
I often receive tons of email scams (nigerian, russian women, UK lottery winnings) But this is the first to utilize ere.net.
Read below.
Perhaps not a (fake) member and spidered the email addresses from ERE.

google strings results midway through results I get a warning about running a spyware application
i keep forgetting to post this topic...
When I run a string on Google halfway through I get this...
"We're sorry...

The Serendipitous Nature of our Business!
Last night I was scouring linkedin for a ABAP'er found one that was perfect for my role. however his profile was a tad cryptic and my efforts to find alternate contact info was in vain.
As I am viewing his profile he emails me out of the blue asking about ABAP roles in the NY area. I proceeded to dial his number and this morning made a great referral.

Over the past year I have been experimenting how best to facilitate members being able to connect with each other. Some want to connect with everyone and some are looking for a few meaningful connections.
1-2 times per week I send a group introduction message with 10-15 new members and reintroducing others.
What this means for you is simple, do you wish to be introduced to the group?
You have 4 options from which to choose:
(A) “Open Networker” with name, email address, and LinkedIn URL as you want to connect with anyone and everyone.
(B) “General Introduction” with name and LinkedIn URL as you are specific about who you want to connect with.
(C) “Lurker” no announcement will be made as you want to be on the sidelines connecting with people as you wish.
(D) “Super Open Networker” which is (A) plus having your contact information on the group page.
A caution on the “Open Networker”, you may be inundated with invitations to connect. For some this is exactly what they are hoping for and others this could be a pain.
I do ask, if you receive invitations from members you do not want to connect with that you “Archive” the message versus “I don’t know” so the sender is not penalized by LinkedIn although how you handle this is up to you.
Again your options are (A), (B), (C), (D).

I see your point and they are logical and I have also followed these rules.
1st I generate names. 2nd conduct thorough research so my calls are extremely targeted based on my research. Google is a great tool especially if you know the more subtle ways of conducting searches...
