Thank you to Bill Murphy -

I would like to thank Bill Murphy (Lockheed - and my first contact at recruitingblogs.com over the phone) ;) for his great reference for me. He initially wrote it for my LinkedIn however I'd rather put the info here. (not sure about LinkedIn recommendation tool). Thank you Bill Murphy. Your work ethics, professionalism, humor & strategies are inspiration.

“I met Susan virtually via recruiting blogs a number of months ago. We have talked about her interest in recruiting and sourcing and her career interests at length. During these months I have had an opportunity to witness her rapidly and effectively networking throughout the recruiting community. They say it’s not what you know but who you know. In both cases Susan in going to do well. She has a very high level of energy, is highly educated, and she knows just about everybody. I’ve been in the recruiting business for many years and Susan knows far more heavy hitters in our business than I ever will. She is a very strong networker in a web 2.0 world. If Susan were to tell me that she has Bill Gates or Warren Buffet or Bonnie Raitt coming over for dinner or a barbeque at her home it would not surprise me.” September 14, 2008

Hi Susan!

David Jacks gave me your name as a great person to reach out to and network with. I met David by phone through someone in my own network, Will Mechem.

A little bit about me:
My name is Katherine but I go by Kate. I am a Corporate Recruiter and my most recent experience has been doing lateral recruiting for financial services firms, although I do have a good amount of experience with campus and analyst recruiting as well. Due to this terrible economy and the lack of hiring at Citco (the company I was most recently with) I was recently laid off. Hence, I am looking for a full-time role right now and am trying to network and as much as possible. My strengths include project and process improvements, organizational skills, multi-tasking skills and of course people skills. I consider myself as a business partner to the organization and work to ensure that the right people are placed in the right job 100% of the time.

At any rate I am looking to expand my network and share ideas and I would love to connect with you. I hope to hear back from you soon!

Thanks,
Kate Shahan
