Real Job Stability

Job stability is not what it used to be.  It seems like it was a century ago when job stability was something that employees counted on from a single employer for an entire career.  That’s actually close to accurate. The reality is that companies have been focused on business and results over individual employees for a long time.  That’s perfectly fine as long as employees understand that and take responsibility for their own careers.  Real job stability comes from doing great work.  Making…See More

Strike While The Iron Is Hot.....or

When you have a tough job to fill, a skill set that is in high demand and with a shortage of qualified people, you have to move when you can.  Too many times we see hiring managers hold to a set process of finding 3 candidates to interview before moving forward or something similar. It’s great to have a good hiring process that works for you, but you have to think about the current situation and do what is best for business.  Candidates with backgrounds and skills that are in short supply are in…See More

More Knowledge

Many companies recruit sharing as little information as possible.  Knowledge is dangerous.  The more the candidate knows about our business, the more they can find to object to.Great companies work the opposite way.  The more they share the better.  Great companies come in all shapes and sizes and are in any industry, but they all do great work.  Sharing their vision, how they operate, what they accomplish, what they are building……these things show the great work that they do and great work…See More

Know What You Are

It’s easy to lose sight of what you are recruiting for.  We want this.  We have to get one of those.  It’s imperative that you know what you are. What does your business do?What do you provide? What do you sell? How do you sell it?Recruit with that in mind.Todd Kmiechttps://www.linkedin.com/in/toddkmiec/…See More

Economic Outlook

Posted on July 27, 2017 at 5:53am 0 Comments

Economists are lowering their expectations going forward because of unexpected gridlock.  Gridlock is the norm in Washington but with a Republican White House and Congress there was some hope that a lot would get done.  But the gridlock remains.  Too many competing agendas.

Where this leaves us is probably stuck in this slow, lower than 2%, growth.  That’s better than a recession, but if you are waiting for the economy to give an extra boost to business you are probably going to be…

How Many In The Pool?

Posted on July 26, 2017 at 5:54am 0 Comments

It’s pretty disappointing when we don’t land the candidate that we were after.  There’s a lot of frustration when this happens.  In most situations however, there is more than one person in the candidate pool.  Someone who fits the need and would be an excellent hire.

On any search you should look at the big picture and and understand that there are some number of potential candidates in existence that would be a great hire.  The objective is to make a great hire, improve your…

“Todd is truly a breath of fresh air in this industry. He takes a very open and honest approach when it comes to his business and in the recruiting industry there is not much more you can ask for. I can always trust what Todd tells me and I know that he always has his clients, the candidates and the recruiters best interests in mind during all stages of the process. Todd’s ability to handle the needs of both his client and the candidate in a manner that results in a great experience for all is one of the many factors that set him apart. I am excited to grow our working relationship and look forward to future opportunities with Todd and his company. Todd’s professionalism, dedication to the job at hand and trustworthiness easily allow me to strongly recommend him to any client or business partner. Regardless of the role or opportunity presented to work with him I am certain Todd will make an excellent partner and will leave you with only the best of impressions.” December 14, 2009

“I have worked with Todd for over 3 years and am amazed at his reach nationally to find the best candidates. I have hired him to help one of my clients to find engineers, something in short supply in Southern California. He always comes up with the best candidates, even better than the local recruiters I have worked with. Todd is punctual and very responsive when contacted and stays in touch all the time throughout the process. He is a beacon of light in an industry full of recruiters who are lazy. I highly recommend Todd if you need a recruiter who is very effective and has a great network. He really works for his fees. Dan Curtin” November 10, 2008

“We have been working with Todd Kmiec since the beginning of this year (2008). We have found that Todd is very professional, and that he has a very strong knowledge of the way recruitng should be done. Todd knows his clients and understand what they are looking for in a candidate. He is very quick to respond to any questions and provides concise and clear feedback. When a candidate is in the interview phase Todd follows through so that all parties can be kept up to date and clear on the status. We have worked with Todd on several difficult to fill positions and have both enjoyed, and learned from the experience. We look forward to working with him on many more. November 7, 2008 Sally K. “Todd surpasses all recruiters and is by far the most consistent and organized recruiter I have ever had the pleasure to work with. I have had a working business relationship with Todd since January '07 and have yet to see anything short of superior work ethics. I give Todd two thumbs up and a solid recommendation for those willing to establish a working relationship with him, you will not be let down. Mike Land Executive Recruiter” November 6, 2008

"Todd is someone that is very intelligent and works hard to get where he is today. I've had the pleasure of working with Todd since 2008 sourcing candidates for him. He's always available to answer any questions that I have and makes it a point to always touch base. He really is someone to know as he takes great joy in what he does. He's working round the clock to please his clients and does it all with a great attitude. I look forward to a great working relationship with him and will definitely always reach out to him for advice." May 7, 2009

"Todd is one hard to come by and rare to find. Over the years I’ve known him through our daily recruiting operations, he has never failed me, not even ONCE. He is 200% dedicated and expert at what he does. His follows his miraculous system with precision, insight, determination and perfection. He is one I’ve known with the most business common sense, openness and fairness. You can expect a lot from him but still not getting disappointed. He is truly one of a million, the best partner I’ve had. He sets the perfect example of what a model business partner should be. I can never say enough of how proud I am in finding him. I have no doubt that our partnership will be a lifelong one. I highly recommend Todd to anyone interested in partnering with him for any business activity." May 10, 2009

I don't always have a candidate for your open job orders but always conduct a

search in my files and "only" send if appropriate.  Would appreciate remaining on

your open job listing distribution.  Frank Gregg,. GREGG & Associates

Hi, my name is Kevin and I am the operations manager for a healthcare recruiting firm in Los Angeles, CA. I’m reaching out to you because you indicated on your profile that you were in healthcare staffing and possibly open to doing some splits. We have a lot of open job orders and offer a 50/50 fee split. Would you be open to discussing ways we could collaborate from time to time?
