It's been a busy couple months. I got married on May 14th and spent a week in Jamaica. I'm officially Mrs. Gibbs! It sounds good but maybe a little strange. My husband is in the Army, stationed in Fort Lee, Virginia so he took a 30 day leave which...

Veronica, take heart in that you are really NO different from the 20-somethings of EVERY generation. We have all had "our" world-view, "our" world-challenges, "our" technology, "our" heroes and villians, "our" music, "our" dreams and passions, et...

Return from Hiatus

It's been a busy couple months. I got married on May 14th and spent a week in Jamaica. I'm officially Mrs. Gibbs! It sounds good but maybe a little strange. My husband is in the Army, stationed in Fort Lee, Virginia so he took a 30 day leave which was really wonderful. He's back in Virginia getting a new place for us. The movers come on the 18th to pack up my apartment in Michigan, my last full-time day with Blue Cross is June 26th. I'll be in the Richmond, VA area (Chester) by July 1st. My hubb… Continue

Random Musings

This recruitment community is so interesting - it has become part of my daily routine. I really enjoy reading the posts of various member. Up to this point I've not really been connected to a professional community - except for the professionals at BCBSM. But I'm really glad my sm research led me here.

The social media project is going well - I am learning a lot about the value-add and shortcomings of the mediums. You can't ignore social media - our world works in social media and my generation… Continue

Lessons in Social Media (And An Attempt to Make Amends)

So, today was not a great day. I definitely learned an important lesson...

A) Tags work, be careful how you use them
B) I need to work on my 'inner filters'

I had to pull a few blog posts down because they were not well appreciated by a particular group mentioned. Although when I first found out I was even more irritated after speaking with my leader I realized that my posts were a bit short sighted.

My leader is great at refocusing my energy on productive tasks.

Regardless of my feelings, o… Continue

A Short Film from My Generation (y)

I found this video on TalentCloud after Peter Gold followed me on twitter. The site looks very interesting. It should keep me occupied for the rest of the evening.

I am not sure if I endorse this or not just yet but I do see some of the truth in the way we (gen y'ers) see the world.

Although, it is pretty clear we are a bu… Continue
