bill josephson commented on DRUE DE ANGELIS's blog post 'The Problem with Recruiters!'
There was nothing in this piece applying to my 31 years of Executive recruiting experience.  It was more written for the go-go years of the 1990's or 80's.Bottom line is 3rd party recruiters are fighting for relevance in the…

Delete Comment Working as an employee it's definitely a disadvantage, IMO. Most employers will gear towards hiring a person who can do the work of more than one person. This means being the best at what they do or being able to perform multiple…

bill josephson replied to Francois Guay's discussion 'What makes a Recruiter Great!!!'

Amber, we agree.  I still maintain it doesn't make us look good when we tell candidates we haven't heard anything.  But it's better than not picking up the phone at all.

Unless corporate gives the TPR feedback all the TPR can tell the candidate as they have no feedback.  Is that considered good communication by candidates?   I don't think so.  They expect more.   I believe candidates…

bill josephson commented on Marvin Smith's blog post 'What If It Mattered How We Treat Candidates'
I recruit exclusively by phone so my candidates talk to a live person making the initial experience more personal. Recruiting over the internet makes for an impersonal experience for the candidate as they send resumes down black holes…

bill josephson commented on Amy Ala's blog post 'The Real Reasons Why Corporate Recruiters Hate You'
Amy, makes sense.  In other companies requiring more I/T or Engineering talent there'd be a dedicated contract recruiter also handling that function making it even less likely your company would reach out to a TPR potentially exempting any…

The function of Corporate HR

Posted on June 21, 2011 at 5:51pm 1 Comment

In encorporating 3rd Party Recruiters is Corporate HR's function to fill jobs, or simply putting as many qualified candidate resumes in front of all hiring managers with a signed requisition disregarding lack of HA feedback and thus nonexistent interview processes?

Fill jobs, or cover themselves supplying qualified candidate resumes?
