The Hybrid Staffing Agency Job Board

I have always thought that most staffing agencies could use their own job board. Today I discovered the Jobspring Partners website. Its a combination job board and company site that really showcases their open technology rec's.Their design is top notch, and they use the homepage as the job board piece showcasing jobs in an easy to read format. The color scheme is simple and powerful. They make great use of their social media…See More

"Forget about the klout score stuff for a minute and just focus on the no resume required part. Does anyone agree that for SOME positions you can learn all you need to know about the candidate through just their linkedin and other social profiles?"

Is it time for a "social only" ATS?

I've been thinking a lot about Applicant Tracking as it relates to social. There is a clear trend towards social networking profiles becoming more widely used to evaluate talent. A Linkedin profile + Twitter stream + Facebook Likes can tell you a lot more about a candidate than just a plain paper resume. So the question is, is it time for an ATS that lets you apply via social only? What if you just required the candidate to submit his/her social profile links in place of the regular resume.…See More

Sourcing through events...how many of you do it?

Having gone to a lot of industry events that I find on places like Meetup.com I always run into a recruiter or two who is looking to connect with candidates, especially of the tech kind. I've seen some blog posts on the subject, notably stuff like this;http://www.sourcecon.com/news/tag/sourcing-from-meetup/…See More

Tech talent is hard to find. Whenever you have a strong demand in a certain industry, new sites will launch to try and help employers find that talent. We are now witnessing a new crop of techie job sites that have a fresh approach on recruiting tech talent. As a recruiter would you try these? Here’s a look at three that caught my eye.

Posted on September 25, 2012 at 3:28pm 1 Comment

Recruiting news is scattered across the web. I've been trying to put together a list of the best and most trusted news and blogs that help us all to keep track of whats happening out there. What else am I missing from this list?

I'm specifically looking for the 'news-type sites' that write about the industry.
