5 Reasons Your Online Job Application Did Not Catch My Attention

Are you sending tons of resumes on job ads but do not even get an answer? Here may be why:

Recruiters both in HR departments or recruitment agencies/ search firms receive a large number of resumes every day and we have to decide within 5-10 seconds if we call up the candidate or not. Some Things are Worth Repeating

A coworker of mine absolutely detests the phrase, "Recruiting is a lot like dating." She says it's cliche and trite; and she is right. The problem, though, with cliches and all things trite, is that they are true.

Why is bears repeating that Recruiting is a lot like Dating:

  2. Dating and…

Overcoming Recruiting Challenges: How an Automated ATS Can Help

Staffing firms typically contact TargetRecruit with several specific goals and a list of high level requirements as they evaluate Applicant Tracking Systems. Job Adverts: the good, the bad and the ugly!

On a daily basis whilst posting my client’s vacancies onto the job boards it amazes me how poor the vast majority of the adverts are on major UK job boards. Poor grammar, spelling mistakes, little detail and no call to action are just a few of the issues I see daily.

I am shocked that major UK businesses are trusting agencies with their vacancies to be represented in such a shoddy fashion. Rant over!…
