Are you sending tons of resumes on job ads but do not even get an answer? Here may be why:
Recruiters both in HR departments or recruitment agencies/ search firms receive a large number of resumes every day and we have to decide within 5-10 seconds if we call up the candidate or not. The “Leitmotiv” of my job – professional recruitment - is to find similarities between the job and the applicant, the skills of the person in front of me and the job…Continue
A coworker of mine absolutely detests the phrase, "Recruiting is a lot like dating." She says it's cliche and trite; and she is right. The problem, though, with cliches and all things trite, is that they are true.
Why is bears repeating that Recruiting is a lot like Dating:
Online recruitment is a serious buzzword in the HR spectrum. Companies are becoming more and more aware of its importance and its prevalence in the market. 20% of the UK population are looking at a job board online more than twice every single day. This is a huge active market with advantages that can include improvements to corporate image, reduction in recruitment costs and a reduction in administration. So why is it that recruiters are finding it a challenge to integrate it…Continue

I am shocked that major UK businesses are trusting agencies with their vacancies to be represented in such a shoddy fashion. Rant over!…Continue

Not too long ago I got a call from a recruiter who found my profile on LinkedIn and wanted to know if I’d be open to other opportunities.
