Being a Smart Recruiter is knowing your customer and creating a relationship with that person. Your customer knows exactly what he/she is looking for and can provide a right direction. Once that raphor and trust is made. You will have the world in your pocket. Your customer can provide you with sample resumes of current employees that will help you build queries on data bases. Want to be a smart recruiter? Do the OPPOSITE of this!
- Fling resumes at job orders without talking to candidates. Clients LOVE receiving unqualified resumes and Candidates Love having their resume sent to companies without your permission.
- Submit candidate resumes to clients without qualifying them.
- Do NOT under ANY circumstances waste your time keeping the submitted candidate apprised of the status of the job order!

For me, here is how I answer:
1) I love what I do. I love people and this industry.
2) I use technology and follow technology so I can make the most out of personal relationships
