It's The Headhunter Fee, Stupid!
Employers seldom complain about the services of headhunters, it’s the headhunters’ fee that has become their pain point.
A few months ago I was a presenting at a seminar to about 35 business owners and HR professionals. My client hired someone after 5 months without telling me according to my contract they owe me the whole fee. The applicant left the job 3 months later because the job was misrepresented. The starting point for successful fee negotiations is, strangely enough, to get the conversation off the fee percentage, and on to the question of what it is your fee is actually for.
And of course, bundled up in that conversation, is your…

Top Echelon Contracting reported in a previous blog that employers are already looking to hire their temporary seasonal help for the holiday season.
